General Anxiety
Service Description
General anxiety is often used as a common term to refer to the Generalized Anxiety disorder (GAD). People with GAD often worry too much about common things and situations. The anxiety felt by people with GAD is way more intense than normal anxiousness as they feel an uncontrollable level of anxiousness about the thing several times in a given day. For example- We all worry about our money and financial situation which is very natural but a person with GAD might worry about their finances in an uncontrollable manner which might take a large part of their day and happen for months. People with GAD have the insight that they shouldn’t worry but they just cannot control it and require professional help to take care of their problems. Often times it is seen that a person with GAD might have this free-floating anxiety that is not related to something in particular and they feel that something bad is going to occur and they aren’t able to relax themselves. Anxiety is common to a lot of mental health related disorders like depression, phobias, etc. but GAD is different. People who have depression might have anxiety or feelings of anxiousness at times, people with phobias also have anxiety and excessive fear that is related to one particular object or situation. GAD is different as a person who has GAD might excessively and uncontrollably worry about various different things for a long time and often are not able to pin point their source of anxiety.
